
ANZULA — Biography
ANZULA is the artist name of Andrés Zuno Llamas (Guadalajara, 1967), a visual artist —painter, printmaker, and sculptor— and author. Trained as a lawyer (Licenciado en Derecho, Universidad de Guadalajara), he turned to the visual arts in 2004. His work belongs to magical realism: figures, often female, in unreal situations; more recently, bronze sculptures of masked lucha-libre characters riding bicycles. He is the author of the novel El discípulo de Don Tinoco. He has exhibited in group shows since 2004; in 2024 he took part in Cultura en Bicicleta at the Senado de la República (the Senate of the Republic) in Mexico City.
